This year's event, held in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, was a part of the team's Nike RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities) program, aimed at empowering young athletes.
Three key figures from the Phillies team returned to their hometown to share their expertise: pitcher Tanner Banks, infielder Otto Kemp, and manager Rob Thomson. These players provided valuable insights and practical tips on hitting, pitching, and fielding, drawing from their extensive experience in the major leagues. Additionally, Phillies alumni Domonic Brown, Milt Thompson, and Dickie Noles, along with the team's Youth Baseball & Softball Development team, contributed to the clinic, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
Following the clinic, the young athletes had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with Banks, Kemp, and Thomson. This interactive segment allowed the kids to ask questions and gain deeper insights into the world of professional baseball.
